The Video Game Awards 2025 are Tonight!

One of the biggest nights of the year in gaming is happening tonight at 7:30 pm. The Game Ads... Awards presented by Geoff Keighley. Whenever there's not ads from "just another anime gatcha game" they do present awards to some of the best games of the year. As always there are many category's in this years awards show, most notable being the game of the year. And plenty of speculation to of what's to be announced.

This year’s Game of the Year nominees are stacked: the critical indie darling starring Charlie Cox, Expedition 33; Kojima’s latest fever dream, Death Stranding 2; Nintendo’s chaotic and charming Donkey Kong Bonanza; the ever-deadly Hades II; the medieval epic Kingdom Come: Deliverance II; and yes, after years of memes, whispers, and prayers Hollow Knight: Silksong.The Game Awards / lava037 / Kotaku

Rumors are swirling too. I won’t list them all here as most are too good to be true like Half-Life 3 finally being announced; that big ominous desert statue everyone’s talking about though? Some internet sleuths dug up a fresh trademark filing that suggests it might be something Divinity-related from Baldur’s Gate 3 devs, Larian Studios. PlayStation has also confirmed that there another look at Saros, the upcoming title from Returnal creator Housemarque. Quick note: If you haven't played Returnal quit reading this drivel a go play it. Its fantastic and one of this generation's best games.

So buckle up whether we witness gaming history or just another avalanche of CGI trailers, or landslide of cringe, it’s hopefully bound to be somewhat entertaining. See you on the other side of the ad breaks.
