Activision brings all the fast and furious action of Vin Diesel's new summer flick, xXx, to the Game Boy Advance.
You will take control of Diesel's character, a notoriously unconventional athlete named Xander Cage. In the name of national security, you must use Cage's extreme sports skills to combat a ruthless enemy that has eluded the nation's top spies. While xXx may lack the indie-cred of Vin's surprisingly sensitive short film, Multi-Facial, the plot makes a fine motor for a video game.
Developer Revolution Studios has included 11 levels packed with more intensity than Vin's trademark scowl. Crime doesn't pay, and it's your job to prove that point with high-tech devices like Dart Chrome guns, Electro-Impulse Motorcycles and High-Impact Incendiary Grenade Launchers.
There are also three 3D levels that put you in the seat of a futuristic motorcycle. Racing to disarm bioterror weapons provides a nice break from the usual side-scrolling action.
xXx is a nice way to relive one of the summer's big action movies on Nintendo's handheld wonder. As a rising star, we are sure to see more of Vin Diesel on the Game Boy Advance and other video game platforms. And since Vin attended the opening of our Hollywood Cube Club last year, we know he's a big gamer.
